The activation of the digital Corona vaccination certificate in Germany has started. From now on, the certificates can also be applied for at the Löwen Apotheke, an official body .
The function has already been activated in the Corona-Warn-App. In addition, the digital health certificate “CovPass” has been developed and will soon be available.
The digital proof of vaccination is an additional way to document Corona vaccinations. Vaccinated people can thus conveniently store information such as vaccination time and vaccine digitally on their smartphones – either in the CovPass app or in the Corona warning app.
The Löwen pharmacy will soon be able to certify the digital vaccination certificate. To do this, we need the following documents: ID card and yellow vaccination certificate and, if applicable, the 2D barcode digital proof of vaccination sent to us. This can also be issued by us. x

As a regional provider, we can only certify people from the region and citizens with German citizenship. The legislator expects doctors and institutions to be known to the pharmacy.

How does the digital vaccination certificate work?
The digital proof of vaccination is generated at the doctor’s office or at a vaccination center. After entering or transferring the data, a 2D barcode is created, which users can see on a paper printout and later scan and use with the CovPass app or the Corona-Warn-App. The app only stores the vaccination certificate locally on the smartphone.
Where can I get the digital vaccination certificate?
Citizens can download the CovPass app from the well-known app stores to scan the vaccination certificates (QR codes). If necessary, they can show their full vaccination protection via QR code in the app. At the same time, the Corona-Warn-App will be updated, which also offers the possibility of scanning and managing digital vaccination certificates (QR codes). Citizens should keep the QR codes handed out so that they can scan them again if necessary (e.g. when changing mobile phones).
