- Chlorphenamine can help reduce swelling in the nasal mucosa and relieve a dry cough
- The ascorbic acid (vitamin C) contained in Grippostad® C granules supports the immune system
Influenza infections often begin in the nose and throat area. They are caused by viruses that enter our body through the respiratory tract. It is generally transmitted by tiny droplets that a person who already has a cold spreads in large quantities into the air when they cough or sneeze. The first signs of the disease appear as early as 1 to 2 days after infection. Already during the incubation period and up to a week after the onset of the disease, infected people can infect other people. Typical first signs are a sore throat, sneezing and a “runny nose”, but also coughing, hoarseness, headaches and body aches. Since viruses cannot be fought directly, the focus is on treating the symptoms.
Four well-coordinated active ingredients are combined in Grippostad® C hard capsules, Germany’s most commonly used remedy for colds*. This well-tolerated combination of active ingredients is used to treat symptoms that occur together, such as headaches and body aches, runny nose and dry cough as part of a simple cold. This is how you quickly feel fit with Grippostad® C capsules. Paracetamol helps relieve headaches and body aches and reduce fever. Chlorphenamine belongs to the group of antihistamines, it helps to reduce the production of nasal mucus, making it easier to breathe. At the same time, it relieves the dry cough. It also inhibits excessive mucus secretion. The caffeine contained in the Grippostad® hard capsules increases the pain-relieving effect of paracetamol. It enables a reduction in the paracetamol dose and thus relieves the body through a smaller amount of painkillers. Grippostad® C hard capsules contain ascorbic acid, better known as vitamin C.
