Elotrans powder for oral electrolyte and fluid supplementation (compensation of salt and water losses) in diarrheal diseases.
Diarrhea is the most common cause of water and mineral imbalance. This often has serious consequences, especially in children, because children have a fluid turnover three to four times higher than adults and suffer correspondingly higher mineral and fluid losses when they have diarrhea. For this reason, any loss of fluid must be immediately and properly compensated.
Children are also particularly sensitive to improper electrolyte and mineral intake. This means that only a drinking solution for fluid balance should be administered that contains a balanced concentration of electrolytes tailored to the child’s particular needs. The absorption of the electrolytes thus supplied from the intestine is assisted by the presence of glucose (sugar).
Elotrans® provides the body with salts, minerals and glucose in the optimal composition and thus supports regeneration.
